Theme 1'

Coda
Overall key of Bb major. Structure roughly in sonata form ABCA’B’:
Theme A is in Bb major. The trill section serves as a transition towards the next theme in G major. Theme B is in G major (raised relative minor key) The development C explores the key of Eb, then Gm, before settling on a D pedal point, then a G pedal point. Pizzicatos explore Eb before returning to Bb, the original key. Theme A’ is restated with a few variations: the trill section is not reprised here. Theme B’ is transposed to Bb major, the opening key, and the piece ends with a Coda.
What I noticed as particularly notable:
In theme A, measure 7, I was surprised to see a Gm7 in the bass with a major sixth moving towards F (one would rather expect a C7/G). In the trill section (measure 35), the transition from Bb to G goes as follows: Bb D/A A7 D G D7. It proceeds as though it is about to modulate to the relative minor Gm, but instead moves to G major. In theme B, for example measure 81, the neighbor note figure from D to Eb adds a particular color: the bass moves D Eb D ascending, while the melody moves B Bb B descending. Theme B ends in G and then is immediately minorized to modulate towards Eb, the IVth degree. At the end of the development, to transition into theme A’, there are several alterations of the b9 type. In theme A’, the transition into theme B is more direct, with less time taken.
